How To Play Twist And Shout On Guitar

We’re going to be doing a few different versions here. First, start with the basic three-chord beginner version. You’ll only need the A, D, and E chords and a capo to play this version.

For this simple version, you only need two strums per chord. Make sure your timing is consistent - and keep that hand moving!

Explore a slightly more complex version using the D, A, and G chords if that’s too easy. The rhythm will also pick up here - it has a bit no more juice! If you’re familiar with upstrokes, then you can go ahead and get that rhythm in!
