This Beatles classic works really well on the ukulele, and it’s great fun to play!
There are a few different chord progressions in this tune, but the fun comes in with the melody lines. They are briefly interspersed throughout the song between the chords, so keep an eye out for those. They really can add some depth and interest to the tune, especially when it’s just you and your instrument.
There’s also a fun little melody section. It’s not terribly complicated, but it may take some practice on your part. You’ve still got the chords going on, so you’re really just adding in some ornamentals around those.
As far as your strumming goes, it’s not too tricky, but you do want to pay attention to where the melody lines fall. Try to accent those parts to highlight the melody over the chords.
