What You Will Learn

In this Vintage Club, Richard explores using triads as a simple step to playing target notes when improvising over a 12-bar blues. This session will be accessible to students from Grade 2 (you need to know pattern 1 of the A minor pentatonic scale) to more advanced players with some improvisation skills.

Each demonstrates targeting a specific note (root, 3rd or 5th) plus building motifs and guitar fills around those notes. There is also an audio track and TAB matching those demo pieces plus a pdf of the diagrams used in the session.
