You have no idea how much fun I had doing this video, took a lot of takes to get the intro thing cos it sounded so strange that I'd start laughing. Great fun to play, lovely chords and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do!
“The Rainbow Connection” is originally sung by the most famous and revered of vocalists, no less than Kermit the Frog! Yes, this song first appeared in The Muppet Movie. Though it was accompanied by a banjo in the film, I think you’ll find that it works really well on the ukulele.
There are a few different chord progressions in this tune, and you might encounter some chords you’re less than familiar with. Also, we may be using different fingerings that you’re used to for certain chords. This is a fairly common practice and it’s no big deal at all. Sometimes, depending on the chord progression you’re playing, varied fingering patterns make more sense than the traditional ones.
The strumming here should be kept fairly simple, but as always, you’re welcome to do whatever you think sounds best. There are a few fingerpicked bits, too!
Did you know there are many ways you can support JustinGuitar and help me teach the world to play? :)
