You must memorize the Note Circle.

It's the foundation of everything we'll learn next! There are many ways to memorize note circles, and we'll explore some of them here. If you have a jam buddy, things will get even better!

Exercise 1: By Writing

This method is old school and works! You'll work it into your memory bank by writing out the Note Circle a few times. Draw your circle or use the blanks in this workbook. There are only 12 notes, so it's like drawing a clock.

Step-by-step and variations

  • Draw the clock face and fill it in
  • Draw it with sharps and flats
  • Draw sharps only, then flats only

๐Ÿ‘‰ Now, one more exercise. Let's verbalize the Note Circle!
