Beautiful D Chord Alternative on the Guitar

How to Play This D Chord

Okay, this is not a D Major chord. It also has 4th and 9th tones, but don't worry about Theory for now!

Hold a regular C Major open chord and move your three fingers up two frets. You'll end up with X54030, a lovely chord! Try it out instead of plain old D Major. :)

You can add your pinkie to the 5th fret on the thinnest string (X54035). Give it a try! Again, another beautiful "D" chord.
