More Song Lessons
Why are these songs not on the Songbooks pages?
It still seems crazy to me but because of publishing politics, some publishers won't let me print their sheet music in my books, but some of the songs are great and I still want to do them - to avoid confusion I'm putting them on this page. Sometimes I can't get a song in a songbook for another reason (like not enough space!) so I'll be putting them on this page too!
Where's the TAB?
There is no TAB on this site, I can't get through the legal minefeild to do it - but I've got something that I think is even better! My Songbooks are published by Music Sales and are available from our Online Store. Buying them supports the website and helps keep all the lessons on this site free and you get proper sheet music that exactly matches my lessons! So far we have released:
and there are more on the way too :) Buying my books supports the web site AND the artists and songwriters included in them!! So you're helping yourself (free lessons), me (I keep my cool job teaching you!) and the artists you love!
Find the Songs You Love!
Doing It Yourself!!
The best way to learn songs you like is by TRANSCRIBING songs yousefl!! seriously - that is the truth! So actually better than using tabs or songbooks or lessons is to work out songs on your own and make your own charts! It is nowhere as hard as you might think if you have never tried it - it is the way that generations of guitar players before you learnt to play!! And I have loads of lessons on it to help get you going... and just imagine, when you've developed your ear - you can work out whatever songs you like!! No need for tab at all - it's amazing and that is what "real" musicians do. In the old days nobody had tab - you think Jimi and Clapton got tabs off a web site???
