Guitars in this clip are:
Fender Stratocaster Plus Deluxe USA
I think I bought this new in the early 90's in Tasmania, at the local music store. Previously I had been mainly playing a Jackson rock beast and this was my first really nice guitar. All my big practice sessions in my teens were done on this baby, and she is the most valuable to me sentimentally. It is fitted with a Seymour Duncan "Cool Stack" pickup in the bridge position (with a single coil split switch), the other two pickups are the original lace sensors. It also has teflon coated bridge saddles which help stop the strings breaking so often.
Fender Telecaster USA
I bought this in 2007, I had wanted a tele for a long time and had been looking second hand when I found this one on the internet. It has a lot of cool features but because the customer service was so crap I am not going to talk about where I got it from. It started as a standard USA Telecaster but was then modified to include a Gibson "Original Mini Humbucker" in the neck position, a Seymour Duncan "Hot Stack" pick up in the centre and a Seymour Duncan "Vintage Stack" in the bridge. It has other fancy stuff too - a Souncraft output socket, reversed volume plate, a push pull pot in the centre position (split and boost), Fender locking tuning pegs and Hovland capacitor on the tone control... and a bunch of other things. It is based on the guitar played by the country guitar legend Brent Mason (and I mean LEGEND, the guy is amazing)
The set up when I got it was pretty poor, it was delivered WAY later than initially promised, and they didn't even bother to respond to my complaint emails - so beware internet guitar "experts" - the service I got was rubbish, they talked a good line but once I paid.... After a good set up and a bit of fiddling it is now playing and sounding great :) but all that should have been done before it was sent...
