Help keep this site free for those that can't afford to donate...
This site runs on a honour system. It is the only way that I can provide high quality lessons to those who have no money and could never afford lessons. You would be amazed how many emails I get from people all over the world that could not afford to pay a web site or a teacher for lessons. Many users that just have no money, and the chance to make music is great therapy and uplifting for those down on their luck. This site is free for them.
If you can afford to contribute then you should. It is really appreciated and really means that I can make a difference, make this site grow into the best resource for guitar players, and keep it free. I have a few ads, but they don't bring in a whole lot...
The site (as of Jan 2009) gets around 20,000 unique visitors a day, and some days (though not many this year so far) I don't get a donation at all. If you can afford it - these lessons are not free :) If you are doing ok, got a good job and a couple of guitars you should throw a bit my way!!
Every bit makes a difference - if every user gave me $10 then I could take a year out and just work on the site! Can you imagine what an awesome resource this could be, hundreds of lessons, and a whole community... Think how much you save by not having to pay for lessons... or buy books... :)
As you can imagine this site has taken many many hours of work for me, and I will be happy to give it many more, but it does need funding!!
But I appreciate there are many of you that have little or no money - if that is you, then you are the people I want to help with this site the most! So don't feel obliged to pay if you can't afford to - practice a lot, get amazing, make loads of money, and then give me some ;)... Check out some other options below if you are keen to help but can't afford to make a financial contribution.
You can also now set up a monthly subscription donation, see below...
There is a link here to nice letters sent in from people who are helped by the site.
Thanks in advance :) I reply to all the donators so by all means leave a note in the "instructions to seller" area!
To make a single donation....
The above links all use Paypal - the most secure way of exchanging money on the internet in my opinion. See the Paypal site here for further information on how they keep things secure.
To make regular monthly donations
Quite a few people have asked if I would set up a monthly subscription donation. So here it is. Select a currency (from GBP, USD or EUR) and then fill in the amount you would like to donate each month. Hit the subscribe button and you will be taken to paypal to confirm. You can stop any time you like of course, from your own paypal account. Please note that all the content on this site is free and subscribing does not give you access to any "subscription only areas", but helps me keep the site running and making more new lessons! Showing your belief in what I do for the future is very humbling. Big thanks in advance.
No Paypal??
If you don't like or want to use paypal, you can send cash UK cheque or International money orders and now US cheques to my studio.

Other Ways to help our justinguitar.com community grow :)
If you can't afford to donate you can also help me with the following... If you think of something else you can do then please get in touch.
Associates If you plan to buy any books from Amazon (.co.uk or .com) then please click through from my site to buy from there (check out the Recommended area). There are search links on every page under the menu too. I get a small percentage which has up until now helped pay the hosting for the site. Check out my recommended stuff too - I'm not pushing it to you, but I have only recommended stuff I really think is great, so it may well be worth a look.
Checking out the google ads that interest you also helps.
Amazon Wishlist
I also have an amazon wishlist thing so you can buy me things I want / need through Amazon! Please email me and tell me though so I can email you back and say thanks. There is some odd things on there too - cos my family use it for xmas prezzies and stuff ;) so you don't have to buy me pots and pans or a vacuum, lol...

Please email me and let me know - so I can thank you!
Spread The Word The more visits I get the more I can charge for the few ads I put up - more time I get to do lessons. Easy. It also means more people will benefit from the site. :)
Spreading the word can take lots of forms:
1. Tell your friends.
2. Tell your local music store - ask them to tell others too...
3. Tell your guitar teacher (if you still have one...) and ask them to help too.
4. Tell your school teachers (there are lots of schools all over that use this site)
4. Print out my POSTER (480Kb) and put it up in your school or college, music shop, local store, wherever people might see it.
5. Print out my page of SMALL CARDS (340Kb), cut them up and distribute wherever you can...
Publicity The best way to reach lots of people is through the media. Know someone in radio, your local paper, or a tv station? Then mention to them that there is a guy giving free lessons on the web - really free, no subscriptions and no pushing justinguitar products down your throats :)
Send some emails to people at TV and radio stations and ask that they check out the site - there ain't much free in the world these days - does make an interesting story...
And musical charities and foundations that you know of - drop them an email and tell them about the site, so they may promote it to people too!
If you know of any web site review magazines or web sites - please submit my site!
If you work in PR and can help at at discounted or free rate - please get in contact. I really need to get my PR going, and I am rubbish at that!
Link To justinguitar.com Got your own web site? Adding a link to this site helps in many ways. Link to your favorite page or just to the url.
Use The Internet Tell people on other guitar forums about this site - but do not slag off other sites, that is not cool. Just let people know that they don't have to pay to get quality lessons. Keep it real - hang out a bit - you might even meet some cool new people too and learn some stuff :) They might well delete your post pretty soon, but worth a try - don't be rude and don't be too persistent - it might give our community a bad name...
Just be honest - if you like what I do here - let people know :)
You might try making www.justinguitar.com part of your "signature" by typing it under your name at the end of your posts - rather than just blatant promotion.
Thanks again - take care and happy days
J
